Junior Interior Designer for Restaurant Design Firm — EDG

EDG is an award winning interior architecture studio located in San Rafael, California. We develop creative restaurant design solutions for clients which include the best chefs in the world and leading luxury hospitality giants. We currently have projects in North and South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle-East. We are committed to expanding our leadership in sustainable design and seek out clients who are committed to regionally-based sustainable food concepts, and they are increasing in number!

We are currently seeking a junior-level interior designer with talent and creativity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Develop and implement creative solutions with a focus on innovation and quality.
•Support the design teams in the development of conceptual programming, creation of presentation materials, finish and materials selection and specifications, and furniture selection and specifications.
•Develop and maintain FF&E budgets, assemble presentation boards and materials and establish relationships with manufacturer’s representatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

•Interior Design or Architecture degree from an accredited university.
•Relevant work experience is preferred but not required – hospitality experience is a big plus.
•Knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign is required, AutoCAD and Sketch-up is preferred.
•An understanding of interiors and a keen sense of how elements work together aesthetically and conceptually.
•The ability to visualize and design three-dimensional environments and can communicate ideas verbally and visually.
•Experienced with the selection and specification of appropriate materials and finishes to achieve key design goals; you have an awareness of current trends in interior design.
•A great team player.
•In addition, a passion for food and dining out is very desirable.
